Ak'Anon Guides Non-Working
(I can't find any previous posts about this.)
On live they would bring you to a location that you specified. They don't work on P99 as far as I can tell.

Waiting on a better system to be created for these.
Noted, and on list to be created once functionality exists.

Understood. In the meantime, if I may suggest a simple solution - disable their response when hailed by players.
I have a friend who made a Gnome that ran into this. He then made a Wood Elf, tried the Kelethin lifts, and declared the game was half-working, and logged off. The lifts aren't an issue for most, but followed by his Gnome experience, I completely understand his impatience. Two cents. Thank you.

If you make a Gnome you start right beside this "Guide" who is broken. I don't care who you are, it's not a great first impression on the server.

We have a way to make these cases work properly now.
As I get time, will be implementing them. To save future research, what are the instances (and specifics if you have them), where npcs should follow pathing in a non-aggro environment based on player request?

Tomer Instogle? that's North Qeynos, not Freeport. Also during that quest, he follows the player (like a pet, even assists with mobs) not guides the player... So no pathing sequence involved there.

Yes, sorry. I meant North Qeynos, of course.

That dwarf in Dagnor's Cauldron will lead the player to the valley that leads to Butcherblock. (He does this on P99 currently.) I think maybe the executioner that sets out to kill McNeal Jocub for the Gnasher's Head quest does the same thing (paths from Captain Tillin to McNeal Jocub). Both will aggro on things the way guards do. Do you need the pathing and/or dialogue for the gnomish guides?
