The answer is most likely no. Other suggestions to laptops under 400 that can play P99?

My guess is that you probably have a basic graphics capability even on a Celeron. I remember feeling like I was hot shit for picking up my Voodoo3 64MB video card to run EQ. I think your bigger challenge will be getting EQ to run outside of Windows, or getting some kind of Windows functionality to the Chromebook.

I'm sure someone else here can do a better job than me at all this. I'm not a software guy. I make hardware. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

On the other hand, if you want to buy a laptop under $400 that can run EQ, I have one laying around that I used to play P99 on. I'd let it go for $150. Intel Core2 Duo, 250GB HDD, 4GB RAM. It's an HP dv6 from around 2009.

I would tell my arch enemy to stay away from best buy. This is EQ classic people, any laptop made after like 2005 that isn't labeled Apple or HTCP will be fine.

Just pay a little more and buy a Surface Pro... It runs like a champ on a surface.
