Default Classic Mage Pet Models

Is there a way to get the mage pets to look like the old floating lumps with arms?

I clicked on this in Options and now my game crashes whenever I try to connect to the server, any ideas? I'd really like the old mage pets back, but now I can't even get in by restoring defaults. I am willing to compromise with the new pets if it gets me playable again.

Fixed this by running in WinEQ2. Now I'm stuck in a scrunched-up sort of windowed mode, but my game works at least. When I get my patience back I'll try switching the files you mentioned and running from the basic shortcut.

Thanks!

In your EverQuest folder, open the file called "eqclient.ini"

In that file, there is a line that says,
UseLuclinElementals=TRUE

Change the TRUE to FALSE, and you'll have the good old-fashioned globs you love.
