Default /rant Why only one person logged in per IP?

What if I have friends over that don't live with me but want to lan. Will I have to write a petition and then wait several days so it won't even matter any more because people don't come equipped with that sort of attention span nowadays.. What is the real utility of this rule? Is this really stopping multi boxing? Or is this just stopping groups from playing together? Is multi boxing really even that big of a problem? Couldn't you just stop multiboxing by encouraging a thoughtful community that enjoys grouping and dislikes when people run around with a cleric following them everywhere.

This is really inconvenient and it makes my butthole itchy and sore. The petition times on here are worse then pretty much any other community I've been a part of. /rant

I know I'm not accomplishing anything other then proving my impatience by writing this but I'm sure if you had any rl friends you'd understand.

Who lan's Everquest? really? I go to great lengths to ensure no one I know ever found out about my dark nerdy secret

It's an online game, they can lan it up from their own house and leave my GDed Cheetos alone

Like most higher primates, humans are social by nature.

I know this doesn't count for 98% of the people playing p99, but still...

Like most lower primates, p99's are social by poopsocking virtual loot.

We are all social. There are like 800 people playing this game dude, and they're ALMOST all individual people!

Of course I still am going to play and openly profess to loving this server. That's why I said it's a rant.. a meaningless one

I was actually discussing this with some RL friend's over the weekend at a birthday party. Birthday Boy asked if we brought our computers so we could LAN EQ. He was joking, but we then got into this whole discussion. I know this is R&F, but Im very interested in this as having a *cough*teenager**coughomgIamoldcough* who would like to play when the Spousal Unit and I already play, it'd be nice to know.

Now if you guys don't usually play from that IP it'd be impossible to have 2 or 3 of you to connect from it. Unless you filled out a petition, and by the time that happened your birthday party would have been days ago. No immediate gratification [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Which sucks massively in a very serious way.
