Default 30 Day Workout Challenge, anyone?

Ok, so I had this silly idea... I am sure many of you (like me) have some pounds to lose. Or maybe for the naturally slim who have never even ran down the driveway, need some kick start to be active. Maybe not! (if so humor me).

I have this awesome DVD, Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I have yet to make it to day 30. I usually end up skipping a day at like day 21 or so.. then I fall off, only to try again a cpl weeks (or a month) later. Work, RL etc get in the way (aka Excuses).

I admit it, I am not a super slim beauty queen, but I know I want to get into shape.

So, I was trying to think of some incentive to throw in there... that maybe some of us can band together (honor code) and develop some sort of 30 day challenge or something... that we have to work out 30 mins (min) each day.... or something?

Maybe each one of us can offer to /raffle off some coveted item, or some amount of plat in game.

I do not know.. but I know I am on to something here!! Any ideas? Thoughts?

I'll do it with you. I have p90x, which I've done in the past and it works, and I'm starting a Krav Maga class this week. I'm not out of shape by any means however I've been lazy the past couple of months due to a hectic work schedule and need to get back into the habit of working out [You must be logged in to view images. In addition to working out though, I also think we need to be accountable for our diet. It will do us no good at all if we work out and then go fill up on milkshakes and big macs [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

As for a reward... hmmm we'll have to brainstorm that a bit

That is awesome. I have the p90 set as well, but it is still closed... Two years ago I went on a dvd-buying spree figuring this would be the next step up from the Jillian Michaels DVDs. But Now I have her body revolution, so thinking after I get to Level 3 in this set, I can move on to that. So maybe, by end of summer or end of year I can graduate to the P90.

I agree we should be accountable for diet!! We will definitely have to brainstorm. May be just you and (But sounds like a lot of people here with a lot of knowledge) Which is good, as I am just beginning to explore all this body/muscle info.

Good for you guys.

I already workout and am trying to lose fat, but while gaining muscle, so its a slow process (that some say can't be done). I'm not going to join you but wish you the best of luck.

I applaud this.

I'm very active in the gym and would be glad to share info, knowledge, and resources.

Good luck dudes.

I track all my workouts in Google docs.

That is awesome; I know I may be calling on you. I never heard of google docs... Will have to check it out. I have been tracking my workouts by just making an Excel Spreadsheet (hah).

I have heard about this!!! Some people so you can do it, and other say you can't. Are you trying to do both at same time? Is it working? I would love to do both at same time..!

Shaun T's T25 is pretty decent only cause i hate monotonous cardio. i did that with a friend and lost about 10 lbs, though you do know it's 90% diet, 10% exercise.

Not sure, I am thinking maybe Feb 1 if we figure out by then? Right now figuring out how everyone wants to do this and all the ins and outs.. And accountability.. and incentives. Any thoughts? And yeah don't worry about skill level. I mean, I know there are some people out who have never even got their heart rate up above resting. The skill lvl doesn't matter. Getting healthy in some form is.
