Default *Really* Classic Games

Looking for some classic games that are even more classic than Everquest, like say Golden Axe, Lode Runner, or even the original Street Fighter 2? The people who make the Wayback machine just launched a new Internet Arcade:

https://archive.org/details/internetarcade

They're all games you could have run on a MAME emulator, but now they're available on the web. Great way to waste some time at work [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Prince of Persia immediately comes to mind when thinking of classic-classic games.

And hell yeah on Golden Axe, that game sucked up so many hours of my childhood. Always had to go Dwarf... that barrel roll!

I'm still looking for old school PC games. Like Advanced D&D games such as Pools of Darkness, Eye of the Beholder, Stronghold, etc... As well as Hexen, and Heretic.

Torrents.

I actually played through Stronghold recently, such a solid game. Too bad the sequel was so terrible.

GOG sells older games changed to work on current machines. I've bought a number of early '90s titles from there. They have sales all the time that they send by email.

Hells yes!

I love GoG. I'm on linux now, though. Haven't set up a way to play the Windows games.

Does anyone remember Quarantine? Is an old dos game from about 1994. You were a taxi driver in a messy city with lawlessness. You moved passengers around and did missions. It was mostly open world.

Wow that tapper seems a lot harder than the arcade version. Got an old arcade near my house that has it and the first few levels are cake.

You want Pool Of Radiance, The Bard's Tale (original not that remake), Wizard's Crown and The Magic Candle.

They're all better on the commodore 64 so use an emulator.

I actually have an emulator and all those games if you want them.
