I was just wondering if shared banks are working?

Not to the best of my knowledge. if you put something in them and zone it will poof.

They don't work currently and never will: shared bank slots were added long after the "classic" (original + kunark + velious) era.

Think shared banks were added from Legacy of Ykesha? So maybe 2003-ish

They might not have been classic, but shared bank slots are one of those features I miss from Live. That said, I miss the Bazaar and newbie armour quests, which might be why nobody asks me...

You are not alone with some of this. The starter armor quests were a great addition and I'll vote for Shared Bank slots until this server is only a memory. Here's hoping for the best of both worlds, Cheers!

There is a shared bank feature in the game.

One can access this bank from any character on any account.

To use it, simply drop an item on the floor. That item will remain there until picked up by another character (computer or player). Note this process only works for items; if you want to transfer wealth between characters you will need to use something with decent value that has a resell rate close to it's purchase rate such as gems.
