Just reinstalled, only played for an hour after buying imperial edition on launch but I'm giving it a go now that its B2P and bugs have been sorted out.

Rolled on Ebonheart Pact

Made it from release till about mid fall. Now pretty much just waiting for console release.

I play. Daggerfall Covenant. I don't play serious though, my highest is level 40 and I've been around since early start.

Oh and stick with PC for the addons. The game is seriously lacking without addons.

Game is such trash endgame. Played all through beta and release. Fun until your stuck running in circles in the desert doing the same thing over and over w nothing else to do.

If you read what half of people said about it. The other half love it.

Personally, the balance issues are what sent me packing. Specifically, the lack of priority to bring half the builds in line with the other half. After DAoC and this I'm convinced Matt Firor is a bonafide moron, honestly.

But "flop" would be a gross exaggeration. Game is really amazing in lots of ways. Sure, if you are a classic EQ purist, you will have no end of things to bitch about, but name any other game that doesn't apply to in the last 15 years. Game is really great in its way, not so great in others. Like anything else in gaming or the world in general.

Personally, I really don't listen to most of what "gamers" as an aggregate say about anything anymore. Most of us bitch just to bitch most of the time. Go check it out for yourself. Have there been MMOs I like more? Of course. Is there a recent MMO I like more? No. Not that I've been looking, but I generally enjoyed my time in ESO. There have been far worse releases and far worse games. People just bitch because every single game isn't what they personally expect every single game to be. Go watch the rant videos from around release....i did....Honestly, most of those turds were picking gnat shit out of sugar.

As far as PC vs Console....I play my MMOs on PC, obviously. But I've been dying to see what a legit NON SHOOTER MMO would be like on console and if one were to ever play well on one, this is probably it. Got the sense on PC that the controls were tailored for a controller, really.

And I'm really interested in checking it out for a second time.
