Post Level 31 bard song Levitation and flute

My wife recently dinged to level 31 on her bard. I had a bard in EQ classic and told her of the joys of twisting lev and selos while traveling. We then discovered that in p1999 the flute is required for levitation. This is not the way it was in classic.

Anecdotally I ran through Kunark with lev and selos while my drum was equipped in 2001. In order to prove my memories are correct I found the archived website EQ Diva which shows when a flute is required to sing the song. The 19 song Shauri's Sonorous Clouding is clearly marked that a flute is required. The 31 song Agilmente's Aria of Eagles is NOT marked as needing a flute.

Even the comments show that we twisted lev and selos to "fly like a comet".

Please change this to classic EQ.

Here is the link from eqdiva.com: http://web.archive.org/web/200103310....com/songs.asp

Thanks

I found this:

Haynar: Bard Song: Agilmente's Aria of Eagles - Will now require wind instrument to play.

However, an archived page from a site linking casters realm clearly states that an instrument isn't required:

It may just be working as intended to reduce the number of players trying to kite entire zones somehow.
