Attention friends, pals, chums of P99...

This weekend is going to be see a lot of salty tears on blue. Double XP in those already packed zones is going to bring out the worst in people. You'll get mad, you'll wish you could do something to stop people stealing mobs from your camp, you'll petition an already stressed Eunomia/Moregan/etc. Effectively tomorrow should be named "Black Friday", and rightly so as people log in for the weekend to grind those levels.

Well yes, yes there is.

Right now represents the perfect opportunity to enjoy the red server. Free yourself from the constraints of an overcrowded blue server and enter a new vibrant, thriving community where not everyone is twinked up to the eyeballs with the latest fashions at level 1.

If you think you'd enjoy a truly fresh EverQuest experience, you won't find it on "other servers", make it red this weekend...

The only issue I have with red... Random ganking. Hate it. I crash sometimes when my characters die, so unexpected deaths for no reason really aggravate the piss out of me.

Been playing red a few weeks and I wish that I could say this doesn't happen but it does and it wouldn't be a problem normally but the gankers usually are running around wearing fungis and are epiced in lowbie hot spots. Reds low Pop is its players own fault cause otherwise it wouldn't be a bad server. Perhaps even the devs here's fault too for not nerfing these items on lowbies.

The crashing is probably fixable Deckk - post up in technical discussion and I bet someone can give you some good advice.

After that, give it a try... you'll find the vast majority of people want to work together for levels as there's a group bonus.

OMG what was Red Lesson #2? I missed it so far I got don't afk and make friends

So far Red is fun just lonely. No one was in zone I started in haven't really seen more than 2 people in zone with me at a time and they are role/anon although friendly enough. Then there was Dudeisbeast who is my hero he helped me get to level 5. Hoping to make friends this weekend there. I like that there is a level range to the pvp also a high level character ran past me last night and freaked me out until QF explained to me that there is a 5 level range in PVP.

Despite my initial reservations and repeated attempts to troll red threads I am actually enjoying myself on p99 for the first time in years playing red. Yeah a fungi twink did get me, but revenge was had the next night and it was quite satisfying.

I'm debating if I want to join red or not.I've been weighing the pros and cons and need some help figuring out this last bit.

Is it reasonably easy to join a leveling guild? I'm not really interested in getting twinked, I'd just like people to play with.
