Default Greasemonkey script to completely ignore threads posted by some users

If you want to completey remove any content on Vbulletin related to the Ignore list, and even most of the quoted text, *and* you want to completely remove threads by some users, you'll need to be using firefox and the Greasemonkey extension.

First install Greasemonkey :-

https://addons.mozilla.org/extension...nfo.php?id=748

Then install this script :-

http://userscripts.org/scripts/source/88463.user.js

To install that script, you must have greasemonkey installed, then simply click on the link above

It's a script I wrote for this site because I was tired of seeing threads by some users. It also will automatically hide any posts from people on your vbulletin ignore list, instead of showing you the post saying that it was removed.

It's not smart enough to hide threads started by people on your vbulletin ignore list, so if you want to change whose threads are hidden, follow these instructions here:

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/88463

Hope this helps you enjoy a less spammy version of the board!

This is really cool. Just for clarification, it ignores fourthmeal and dave thomas. Also, if you have chrome you can just install greasemonkey scripts inherently without adding an extension and manage the scripts through your normal extensions option.

Thanks a lot for the script!

We all glower at them dubiously, but things are getting worse.

I only fear that by banning Fourthmeal we would lose so much reputation with his people that they would now scowl at us, ready to attack, and we would have to deal with them at every corner.

Oh wait, we already have to deal with them at every corner.

Fourthmeal, you've ruined your lands, you'll not ruin mine!

Regarding the fast food posts, I'd suggest they belong in Off Topic and hope the mods would move them there.

On a similar vein for the thread, I use this script to hide the forum sections I don't worry about paying attention to: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/60475

Just make sure that the included pages has
Code:
http://www.project1999.org/forums/*
and change the forums array to match your preferences. Here's mine:
Code:
var forums = new Array("East Commonlands Tunnel","Guild Discussion","Screenshots","Off Topic","Guide Applications");
