Purchase of gear prior to Velious release

Hey all. I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum, but let me know if I'm not. I'm in the market to purchase tank gear (such as FBSS, Chardok BP and Staff of Battle). Is it worth it to purchase this gear at it's current price considering Velious will be released next weekend?

I was thinking that aside from nerfed items, the value of most of the Kunark and Classic era items would probably go down. Either that, or I would think that some of the new Velious items would be a better deal pricewise than the Kunark/Classic stuff.

What do you guys think?

hold off on any haste item for sure. rest i dont know.

You might see a sudden spike of interest in SK/paladin/ranger gear (despite the hybrid penalty not disappearing on launch night)... I'd buy sooner rather than later on that.

Generally speaking however I'd suggest not investing too much in gear that's replaceable in the planes or other raids if you're a quick leveler [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Wait on haste, it might get a bit cheaper still. And don't buy Diamondine Earrings because they have definitely not come close to finishing tanking in price yet.

Chardok BP gonna tank to nothing mid Velious when only warriors and sks can activate the invis.

No, they should come in around 6 months into it.
