Are roleplayers not allowed on Red99 anymore?

I received a disturbing message today friends. GM's and other staff have been banning people who are roleplayers and encourage violence against groups of ingame races such as gnomes, high elves, barbarians and erudites, calling it "hatespeech and racism." Is harmless roleplaying in a high fantasy environment not allowed anymore? Dungeons and Dragons typically have roleplaying against specific races, why is it forbidden on an Everquest Emulator?

Staff can we receive a clear message regarding the legality of such gameplay? Roleplaying is a classic and valuable mechanic that many players immerse themselves in.

Role playing is what vyrenoth does.

With the number of unemployed who eat pills to deal with debilitating depression and anxiety over hearing voices on TeamSpeak I think role playing should be bannable.

It shouldn't be the concern of the staff if my character kills any race on sight due to roleplaying. This is just another way for new staff to try and "improve" Red99 with their new thoughtpolice rules. Hasn't Red99 had enough of new staff implementing new rules just for the staff member to quit 4 weeks later?

I think a poem written by Martin Niemoller in the aftermath of World War 2 and the atrocities of the Nazis and fascists were made public is a great lesson for anybody wanting to silence groups of players for their beliefs:

First they came for the roleplayers

No one told you not to attack on sight in Norrath. The point you're trying so desperately not to acknowledge is that the GMs are telling you to stop calling people "Erudite" as a substitute for the N-word.

Hint: this isn't roleplaying.

Why not?

Because there is no Norrathian INS; this is a concept you, the player, are adding into the game from modern day concepts that do not belong in the setting.

This is the opposite of roleplaying, and no one's buying it.
