Quest Issue: Treant Fists

I'm trying to do the Treant Fists quest in Kerra Isle.

I found the banished kerran but he doesn't respond to the keyphase "puab sent me"

When I give him "puab's token" he gives his speech about the Ashen order and returning the remains of Thipt but he doesn't give me the box to combine the bones in. He also does not respond to questions about Thipt.

I've seen other monks wearing the Treant Fists so I'm not sure what the problem is. I have empty space for the container and I don't have the container in my bank or anything like that.

This is my 2nd time giving him the token and not receiving the box needed.

You're not confusing them with Whitened Treant Fists from PoSky?

No he isn't. I know what item he is talking about and the quest has been done many times on this server, this seems like a legit bug.

If it's a kunark quest then why do other monks have it?...

No, this was a Pre-Kunark quest. I remember well running back and forth from Freeport to Qeynos to do this quest and being disconnected. This is one of the first quests that monk players learn patience, in order to deal with the spawn times for the goblin alchemists. The original Treant fists had a complete heal component to them in 1999.

If it were Kunark era, the screenshot of the initial item submission to allakhazam would probably include race IKS (it does not).

How many iksars do you know that frequent spots like freeport and qeynos....Its such a low level item, i doubt any iksar player would take the time to build faction enough just to do this quest. Might that explain why IKS is not included on race restriction?

Item tags don't work that way. If it's useable, it's listed. period. When Kunark launched item descriptions were changed retroactively to say IKS. Actually, I want to say I recall them getting patched in BEFORE Kunark as I remember thinking "what the hell is this IKS code?"

The fact that IKS isn't listed speaks highly of it being a classic item.

This is not a kunark quest. I did this quest not long ago and it worked fine. Seems like your right about the buggyness.
