Lets be fucking real here.
1. no sleeper. 2. 6 years kunark BIS level 1's running around in every zone. 3. elitist players that wont group with new players. 4. cant attack friends in EC tunnel 5. standing around waiting for mobs to spawn 6. standing around waiting for raid mobs to spawn 7. standing around in the EC tunnel 8. what the fuck can you do besides stand around? Server is basically unanimously accepted as a cesspool of neckbeards. Wouldn't it be better to dump those resources into a different server like Green99 or Teams or something? Maybe in the process of shutting down Blue we'd lose some of these morans that shit up the Blue forums with their nonsense. Win/Win for all involved. discuss.

Im not sure why anyone would play on a PvE EQ server. I guess for the love of Everquest. We all know how easy the PVE content is, 99% can be done in Kunark gear only, but people raid velious with 16hour windows like a full-time job for items that will do what? Give you some more hp? Most of the stats have no impact on the game, resists don't matter. Not sure why you raid for loot on blue "SHRUGS"

Most folks appear to enjoy raiding to become better for the same reasons the guys on RED like to raid and become better. There is a basic desire in most gamers to achieve the best gear possible. Whether I am playing a single player RPG or Everquest, I am constantly searching for "the upgrade" if it is out there to be had, and usually take pride in eventually obtaining it. In BLUE's case that desire causes many man hours of camping that RED players love to poke fun at but you see if we were on a server with 70 players we could stroll right in just the same. Now in the MMO scene this behavior is exacerbated by competition with other players and some folks like to just have bragging rights. ( I am not one of those ). You cannot deny though that the numbers on RED in comparison to BLUE clearly state where the majority would rather play. Whether RED is a wonderful playground or not, many of us just have zero interest in attempting to pvp on a game that was not designed for such activity but rather added as a second thought just in case someone wanted to play there instead.

The rest of what you said in your post well your point would have had a better chance of being understood or at least considered without the final line.

In other words, you are saying.. EQ was originally birthed as like a little boy, but later decided it was going to become a g.i.r.l? This is starting to explain some of the demography of certain players on eq/p99, and why such players are so connected to eq. But this is unlikely, was never so mutilated, as Smedly has always been a co-op player, has developed no pure pvp games in his career so far (speaking from his concept work, planetside not attributed). His concept of EQ came from your run of the mill PnP-DnD game that he is a self professed fanatic of pre-dev career. I've read most of Smedly's published dev papers, this sounds more like something a nobody cooked up on a reddit page. Source? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
