![]() Let me start off by telling a bit about myself. I first actually played EQ when the Kunark expansion came out and I was about 10 years old. At the time I was fascinated with the game, but it was hard and I didn't have the attention span for it.
Now I have stumbled on here and I've been having fun. Using the power of the internet I have been using several guides and now I'm the proud owner of a level 11 Shaman Ogre, but I already had a lot of help. My first bit of help came when I was level 4, someone let me loot a gaurd and I got a decent weapon and shield, pretty cool. Around level 8 I was off in a corner trying to kill skeletons, but the entire camp would often agri all at once. Someone randomly wandered into my corner, saved my life with some bandages and offered to split the camps for me. I declined, as I was moving to a different area soon, and they dumped off 500 gold onto me and wished me luck. Around level 9 I was in Innthule swamp farming humanoids there and someone shouts asking for a SoW. A SoW? Spirit of the Wolf? I can do that! He comes to me and waits patiently as my character fizzles the spell amd I have to sit to regen mana for it and he hands me 50 plat. Wow! I didn't even ask for anything! He gets his SoW and thanks me. A second later he comes back asking if I want some gear and he u loss some decent stuff on me and tells me about this place called Field of Bone and a place near the field of bone, I forget its name. He gave me advice on how to get there, so after hitting 11 I began my journey. After getting off the boat another kind person gave me a bind for safety and I asked what was customary to tip, while others gave 50 plat to me, thats avout a third of all my money now. They said no tip, but a SoW would be nice and I gladly gave them it. I made my way all the way to the Kaesora area and began asking for another bind so I could start leveling again, but a skelly came and wrecked me in 2 hits. I made the trip again naked, and I camped out alongg the wall, hopefully out of the way of KoS stuff. Now I'm super grateful for all the help I have received, after being online in other games alot I forgot people even could be nice to strangers, but now I need help and this time I have to ask for it. The zone only has a few lowbies like me, and when I check last night it had a few as anonymous, but no one offered a bind. So if your near the area, could I get a bind please?

![]() Posts have to be reviewed when you first create an account up until you have like 5 or 10 posts. That's where the delay comes from.

![]() Met a bunch of people in Kurn's tower, very helpful in learning group dynamics. Like mezzinging, and pulling. Bunch of monks complaining about copper and silver weighing them down, offeredmy ogre strength to lighten their coin purse of their coppers, free of charge.
Though I am begining to wonder if there are quests for my class or thenlike that I should be prepping for?

![]() Despite the name, Everquest really isn't much about questing. Most quests are very time consuming, and you want to make sure the reward is worth the effort. Generally you will be questing for a specific piece of equipment. I think the class guides on the wiki have lists of good equipment, and the link to the item will show if it is quested for. At low levels there are few quests. EQ has always been about community, so it is better to spend you time grouping and learning from other players.

![]() The P99 wiki has a list of quests tagged as "Shaman":
http://wiki.project1999.com/Category:Shaman_Quests Some of the Totemic armor quests are decent, but you can usually just buy much better armor for way less hassle and time. By the time your high enough to solo the quests, the rewards are meh.
