Blackburrow VS Seafuries
A recent event in Blackburrow has opened my eyes to the way somethings work on this server, notably petitions for zone disruption and KSing. Whereas I have personally put in at least 6 petitions for KSing and overall asshatery at the Seafuries, only to have 0 responses mind you, the entire zone seems to be a FFA/FTE and totally lawless.
After spending 30mins to an hour in Blackburrow (for fucks sake) farming gnoll fangs with a bard friend of mine, he gets a death touch by Braknar. No "hey, what your doing is disruptive" or anything of the sort just bam, dead. So I log an epic cleric and head to rez him only to be told the guide thinks were boxing (anyone with a functioning brain can see we arent). So after we manage to prove we werent boxing, the reason changes to zone disruption... Excuse the fuck outta me? 6 people in a zone designed for upwards of 30 and we are disrupting the zone? After bringing that fact to the almightys attention, he "reminds me" that they are volunteers and says "if youre unhappy with the level of customer support i suggest you seek a refund for your subscription" .... total turd burgler comment. | ||

New players to the server are coming to black burrow they don't need to see how fucked up the attitudes of the people that have been here for 6 years are. By the time you arrive at seafuries you already know you are a douche going to battle with other douches.
Prove your discontent by logging off permanently instead of staff bashing. | ||

Don't volunteer for a job you're not willing to do properly. Doctor's Without Boarders doesn't show up to disaster areas and tell distraught family members of injured people to settle down because they're just volunteers.
I don't know OP or whether or not he was being a dick in BB, but the whole "we're volunteers" as a blanket excuse for shitty customer service has literally been an issue on this server for years. Back when Rogean was running the show he actually provided quality customer service and only broke out the metaphorical stick when the carrot didn't work. It seems a lot of staff since then have cared more about asserting their control than actually resolving disputes and making the server a better place. I'm not trying to staff bash, but the zero tolerance policy for questioning staff decisions has resulted in zero accountability and overall worse support from the staff. If you're going to constantly bitch about being a volunteer, maybe you should quit volunteering. The server could honestly do with less nannying from GMs imo. The way the staff have inserted themselves into the raid scene with all this running for FTE and a rule set that rivals the US IRS codes has made the jokes about EQ lawyers more true than they should be, and reduced the fun or raiding overall imo. | ||
