Default Corpse Thief

Beware fellow adventures, for there is a Corpse Thief amongst us. About 3 weeks ago I had 5 neatly placed corpse's in EC tunnel, each containing 1 very precious shiny each (Ring of the Ancients). For at the time, I was trying to provide a public service.

I logged in the next morning and /poof. Timers did not expire.

Nosir, I've never shared my account....who the hell would want it?

/petition'd and was told tuff shit.

Please keep an eye out for any shady looking characters lurking about the tunnel...you've been warned !

AFAIK it is impossible for another player to loot your corpse (on Blue at least). I think in the beginning of live EQ if you /consent-ed someone they could loot your corpse, but that went away pretty quickly (and I'm not sure it was even implemented here).

What level was the character that made the corpses, and how did they die (ie. mob, environment, or duel)? I think under the wrong conditions corpses can decay faster than the standard 7 days, and that might have been what happened to you.

Glad to see they trying to discourage no-life losers who camp AC 24/7 and then corpse themselves 10-20 times with rings lined up to sell.

Kudos to the staff, TY!

Now, how can we get the same thing done to the rest of the druids that pile up corpses at the OT hill and WC ring... You know who you are.

Your story is confusing. You corpsed 5 rings 3 weeks ago?

Then you logged in a day later and the corpses were gone?

Please clarify because it sounds like ur shit just rotted

I spent many many weeks gathering the rings and rapiers that i had corpsed in EC tunnel. The exact day they /poofed i cannot remember...it was about 3 weeks ago. I /petitione'd in game and left Mrtwig /afk in the tunnel on and off for about 3 weeks waiting on a GM to restore the corpses. I did not know at the time they were not going to help a law abiding citizen such as myself...maybe I'm not as good a person as i thought i was =/

It was at this point I decided to no longer be kind to the casuals as they have extreme short term memory. They did this to themselves, unfortunately.
