Fullscreen mode - EQ minimizes to desktop

I play in FS mode. If I move the mouse cursor to the top of the screen, EQ minimizes and I'm back at the desktop. When I then click back on the EQ tab, it defaults to Windowed mode. The whole series of events takes a few seconds which has resulted in my death a few times. Any idea how to fix this? Note - my resolution in-game is set to the resolution in Windows.
