![]() I considered putting this in Rants and Flames because people who put Anon on annoy me. But I'm also curious if there is truly a legitimate reason to do this. Are you hiding your class? Are you hiding the zone you are in? I find it so incredibly annoying to do a /who all zonename only to show up and and there are several anon high level players killing everything in sight. I don't care that they are there killing non exp giving mobs. I just care that I took the time to travel to the zone because I thought it was empty and find out that it's being camped by a few high levels.

![]() Welcome to classic eq - you don't always know whether a zone is camped or not. That's part of the game.
Various classes get tells for stuff all the time, and often its easier to pre-empt them and go anon so you dont get tells. Some people do it just because. And they have every right to.

![]() Anonymous players are usually hiding their class or their guild (when people are mobilizing to an encounter.

![]() I think having anon turned off is a courtesy to other players. If they don't give me the courtesy of knowing they were in the zone, then maybe I shouldn't give them the courtesy of me caring what they are camping.

Anon is for *censored*. Roleplay is acceptable. Anon is just bullshit. And even roleplay is usually not needed. The raiding guilds will know where the competition is regardless. And we others really don't give a flying f*ck what wannabe-elitists are raiding ^^ Regards Slozem

![]() wait, so let me get this straight.
If someone goes anon, be it an enchanter to prevent "C PLEASE" or a druid to prevent "SOW + PORT ME TO TOXX PLS", you believe you have the right to take their camp?
