New Player Needing Help

Hi,

I played Everquest back when it was originally released. I don't know much about any expansions and I don't remember too much about the game. The best I ever did was a level 40 magician. I lent my account to a friend (sigh) and never got it back.

I would like to play other classes but I don't know enough about them and don't have anyone playing that could help me out.

I made another magician and got him to level 14...but that was a couple of months ago. I remember someone showing me a really cool camp somewhere on faydwer(I think Lesser Faydark?) where these half elf thieves or something dropped bronze weapons. The camp was always packed but I remember getting it one turn and although it was a really risky fight the reward was great.

But then I went looking for a place to sell stuff and used my gate spell...while having a pet. My pet ran across the map and trained a bunch of mobs on me and I died [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It's hard finding information that works for the classic version of Everquest since most websites relate to current day Everquest which is patched with a thousand expansions.

Anyway, I'm all alone and it's raining. Can anyone guide me or is anyone playing a lot that I can group with?

Also, does anyone know how to turn that little EQ start button that is usually in the bottom left? It vanished.

lvl 11-13 or 14 go to Steamfront and go to the mino slaver camp. They are right when you enter the zone Lfay go left along the wall till you find them.

From around 13-14 to 18-19 in lesser fay there are they Nybright sister camps that drop bronze and also the bandit camps will drop bronze too. I'm not sure if bandits are 100% but they are a little easier to do if you can break them up.

When at the Nybright camp if you can't break them up succussfully at first the left tent one and the one that spawns away from tents can be pulled without CC spells.

As per the start button, I think you hold ALT down and hit one of the WASD buttons, that typically pops up the UI stuff on and off.

Thanks guys. I just had a pretty bad mishap. I rebound some of my keys but q had a double purpose...I'm sure you know what. I thought it was turn left but it was turn left AND auto attack.

So some very powerful friendly npc made short work of me for not knowing how to use my character properly.

I respawned at some weird camp near the Nybright sisters. That's the camp I was talking about by the way. Thanks.

I think I'm going to find my corpse and then try the mino slavers.

Slavers drop mino axes and gems sometimes which are good vendor junk too.
