So last night when Blue Login Servers were down I hopped onto my lowbie Red shaman to get my EQ fix and pass the time. I caught the discussion on the serverwide OOC regarding some SolB raid (Nagafen?). What I gathered was that two guilds were essentially PVPing each other, training and wiping, to interfere with the raid.
Was this an accurate account of what was happening? Players greifing on a massive scale? Those jealous of not being able to accomplish high end raids keeping people that are from it? What a clusterfuck... no wonder people don't play. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

What I observed in OOC was a few individuals lulzing over their personal efforts to disrupt an entire guild of players.

My initial reaction to what I saw should answer the questions posted "why don't more people move from blue to red." This is what we, as progression minded players, see and want no part of.
