When an idiot runs a stop sign in the city and gets ticketed by a police officer, what justification does said idiot have in declaring that his punishment somehow favors the guy across town who is obeying the law? Neither event has anything to do with the other.

im from a little redneck town i read in the paper about people getting DUI's and stuff alot of people know and has seen the sheriffs sons or the supreme court judge's son pulled over and they are known drunks and nothing happens to them . kinda the same thing right ?
