NPC Spawn Issue: Griffennes in NK

Trying to get a griffenne charm for the lambent bracer quest and the only griffennes I've found are at a specific loc. One always spawns and the other spawn is sometimes a fawn. Loc is -445, 1901.

I don't remember these spawns being static but I've run around and not seen another griffenne flying anywhere, just the two standing at this loc. Lots of fawns roaming though.

Also, why is the charm so rare? I've probably killed like 20-30 griffennes and no charm. It used to drop basically every other kill.

North Karana has several eratic static spawns, eg Grimfeather spawn is static just a little run from wood bridge on your right. Also Griffenne's very rare, and Grifon's are nearly non existent. there use to always be at least 3 or 4 Fon's roaming around you had to avoid when running thru NK on live, and Druids often hunted there. I spent lvl 12-18 with mage killing wisps and beetles here, and never once saw a Fon spawning .. several HG's tho. those seems ok.
There are wayyyy too many fawns and also too many Werewolf's spawning (in every zone) Werewolfs used to be kinda lucky to get one on live. Here they spawn every night cycle and most likely has many a nppb on their kill score list (i know i had my share off'em)

I've killed about 100 of these things now and not gotten charm. The downfeather has dropped like 10-15 times though. Was never this hard before.. the darkbone bracelet was the rare part of this quest.

The griffawn that stops right by the gypsy camp can be a griffenne as well. Griffon's I've seen are PH for Grimfeather, and the static griffawn northwest of the gypsy camp at the small spire is sometimes a griffon. I haven't tested if the other griffawns flying around are PHs for griffennes or griffons but they likely are.

there is one more static griffenne spawn southwest of one of the inns/shops near the road. I ran between the 3 spawning spots when I was trying to get a feather. Killed about 10 never saw a charm

Yea Ive noticed alot of static spawns that shouldnt exist in the game. Giffs in NK being the most memorable.

from what I understand its from how they obtain mob details and stuff. Pretty sure theres a bunch of info on it at eqemu. Sample size (and pathing details) for some areas is probably really limited.

There are 2 static mammoths right near permafrost entrance with 2 more that path very close by that make farming them really easy. I farmed them for a few levels and easy plat, but they should be walking around and not just standing there.

Hahahaha, sucks to be you guys, I've gotten two grifenne charms (and thus two bracers) so far through my ultra camping skillz. Then again, that was when I didn't have a job or any life to speak of..

According to Allakazam, the charm used to drop quite a bit but was made rarer later (this is made clear in comments on the Griffenne charm (or maybe Griffenne?) page). So it's probably the case that our server still has the charm being at the non-classic rarity. I agree that as it stands it is a little too rare for what is supposed to be such an easy quest.

Killed probably 20 feens and 10 fons over 4 hours 3 nights ago. No charm for lambent no eye for crafted.As mentioned above there are a grip of fawns flying around and I seen more werewolves in 4 hours then I saw my whole time I played live.
