Non-classic patch to promote 3rd party programs like autofire

Rogean: Mobs will no longer immediately aggro players within 3 seconds of spawning, and they will be immune to any non-targetted spells (PB AEs or Targetted AEs they aren't the target of).


What is the reason for this ignorance?

Unfortunately there are many things that have been done in order to "adapt" to what we have on P99 (Top-heavy, more raid oriented community) that aren't consistent with "keeping it Classic". Even pre-Kunark there were issues that simply weren't the norm on Live due to the population disparity between Live and P99.

In that line of thinking, I don't see this as a means to promote 3rd party programs, but rather a way to actually promote FTE....meaning First to ENGAGE....and not just First to get proximity aggro by luck even tho said person was AFK/unprepared/not even TRYING to engage.

Hopefully one of the things that will happens after they get done with velious and all its patches is go back and open a new server that follows the exact timeline of patches and xpacs. could open it on a anniversary of EQ opening and go exact dates for patches etc.

It seems to me that the developers and staff do a great job of providing this server with virtually no budget whatsoever and instead of bitching a little gratitude might be in order.

My thanks go to everyone who puts time and effort into creating Project 1999 and keeping it running. There are a lot of people having a lot of fun. I hope you all remember that for every bitchy post, there are many more of us who look forward to coming home, getting something to eat and drink, and logging in for a little adventure.
