Default New character spawn point: P99 vs EQmac

Did new characters spawn in front of the PoD in the original trilogy or was it more like EQmac where it was some distance away from your guildmaster?

(I know later they plopped you right in front of the guildmaster, which I always hated. It was more fun looking for the guildmaster, plus it made sense based on the note in your inventory.)

Depended on your class I think. I know in Kelethin during vanilla it was always extremely tricky to find your guild hall [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Back in the day in early 1999 during classic EQ (when your spellbook still opened up when you sat down to meditate) your new character spawned next to the POD in East Freeport if you were a human cleric worshipping Mithaniel Marr on the Luclin server.
