infectious cloud lvl 19 AE dot

Seems to be worth using as long as there are no mobs within the AE range am i wrong?

1.6dmg per mana which is on par with tainted breath which is at 1.65 at my level...

Yeah but it costs more mana so i'm not sure why you would? Unless you're purposefully trying to dot multiple mobs or something. What is your question exactly?

basically i just want to know if other shamans are using it to solo or not for quicker kills of mobs.

If it's comparable damage per mana then it sounds like a good idea to use it. It's not great to use the absolute most efficient dot and only that dot, because that means the monster takes longer to kill, which means more rerooting and possible damage-taking.

thanks that was what i thought i just wanted to see what others thought. It was actually helping drop mobs faster in oasis last night until Cazel snuck up behind me and dropped me and made me de-level [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I guess I'm curious why you wouldn't use affliction though. Its less mana and 2.05 dpm. Are you dotting multiple mobs?

I am using all 3 of my big dots currently Affliction, infectious cloud and tainted breath...

I wouldn't be surprised if all three stacked. Infectious Cloud is from a different line.

They all stack.

Tainted Breath = Single Target Poison DOT
Affliction = Single Target Disease DOT
Infectious Cloud = AE Disease DOT
