Poofing isn't Fast Switching. Poofing is when you /quit and cause your character to be dropped from the game almost immediately. As far as I know, it is not possible to do this any more. When you fast switch, you log on another account, and the character you /quit from stays in the game the usual 30 seconds or whatever.

He's not instant poofing. His character is still vulnerable to attacks and can be killed, and if engaged by a mob will stay online for 3 minutes.

He can log on other accounts while his dude is fighting though.

Using IP exemptions to switch characters and not have to wait has been a common thing in raiding for years. Was hardly a secret back when I was playing, but after IB and VD left, I guess there really isn't any other seasoned raiders outside of TMO.

Yeah I always purposely avoided this possibility and camped when I had aggro. It's possible to log in another account and even buff your LD character, but I never did this either. I never split hairs over a few seconds and neither did the staff until today.
