Default 100% Fix to Zone Plugging

Lifted from Darkfall Unholy wars:

When a person trips the zoneline to cross zones, a countdown timer appears on their screen like casting a spell. To successfully zone, you must stand perfectly still and not get hit for the duration of the timer, say between 6 and 10 seconds.

If you are hit by anything, melee or spell, or you move your toon, your zone request is cancelled and you have to deal with the threat at hand until you can get the free time to zone.

Also has the fun side effect of likely killing people who train to zone, punishing a player for the grievous mistake of agroing too many mobs pve.

Do it.

Ya no groups would camp the zone lines making it impossible to zone with this mechanic, yeah that would never happen here.

Those groups would be just as susceptible to an accidental train as the people trying to escape the train, and we know those happen all the time in large pvp raid zones.

Great idea that would punish anyone who isn't 60 and has to gain experience still.

I'm sure the level 12-14s in Unrest will love this rule, especially the solo melees who aggro 3+ mobs and then get to have the enjoyment of running from Kaladim or Greater Faydark without Spirit of Wolf through multiple zones.

Well done. I'm sure Sirken has phoned Nilbog with this genius idea. You're dumb.

Last I checked this was a server trying to be as classic as possible. Why would anyone even consider changing something that completely changes the way any version of EQ was/is?

not a huge fan tbh, i prefer just puttting a LD character on the other side you can kill if client crash during zone, it will be bad for the 5% that have crashing problems but great for the 95% that don't.

Eh, last patch had ~28 functional changes broadly speaking that impacted the PvP server.

1 custom - clicky adjustments
1 custom - but trying to make things more classic than they were before (root adjustments)

Wouldnt necessarily qualify the last patch as 'custom as fuk', but ymmv.

(And no, I dont think we're going to be considering this bug report / feature enhancement)
