Default Server connection issues

As of 12-5-2013 I am no longer able to login to the server with any form of ease. When I attempted to login it will either time out, indefinitely try connection. After 30-40 times of trying to connect I can eventually manage to get in. Once I am in, zoning will drop me frequently. I do not believe its a hardware issue because it is the same story on my laptop vs pc. I have a 30mbps connection rate through comcast, and have made no changes to any files/hardware - so no known catalyst on why this started happening out of the blue.

Please let me know if their is any insight on a fix!

possibly refer to these threads as it sounds like a similar problem as I and quite a few others are having:

Not that there is much help in those threads and I haven't seen any info from anybody official, so....

I did find that with me, it might be due to my ISP. Maybe certain ISP's got screwy or something after the data centers were switched. But at work I have 2 ISP's, one is the same one I have at home and the other is a different one. I can connect through the different one on my work computer, but I tried the wireless connection there (on my laptop) and I couldn't get the servers to load up. Of course, it might have been due to a bunch of issues. Additionally, I can connect to my computer at home if I tether with my phone on the 3g connection, but the connection is kinda shitty for me that way.
