Default Low health buff stripping

This is a "classic" bug, I didn't see it mentioned in previous postings.

If you zoned while under your maximum +hp by gear, everquest would strip your buffs and bring you back up to that +hp amount.

It was annoying in that it might take away buffs you had. It was wonderful in that if you were dotted and dying and managed to zone at extremely low health, it would kill the debuffs/dots and you get to live another day.

Is there any way this can be re-implemented?

Discussion of it on EQmac:

I listed this long ago in the development section of forums.

Quote:
67. You should lose active buffs/effects (both good ones and bad ones like dots, snares etc - so can be useful sometimes actually) when you zone with less current hp than you have +hp gear. So if you have a hierophant's cloak with +75 hp as the only +hp item and you zone with 50hp left you'll lose your buffs. Ever wondered why that happened? :P
No projected time frame of it being fixed, but it is listed.
