You might be right, but it seems more likely I just overstepped my bounds. There's a small group of people who matter in IB and I was never in that group.

Wow that's gay.
In all honesty, the post Hasbin quoted seems pretty spot on from a general community perspective. Anyone who isn't in a top tier guild (on any game really) will think of those guilds as elitists. If you happened to become a member of the upper echelon of that small community, you view immediately changes to: "Fuck everyone else BUT my guild, my shit doesn't stink." I wouldn't be surprised if your post was true, however I can't confirm that it is. I think it more or less applies to every top guild on here. For the simple fact that every act is motivated by self interest. Guilds who will accept everyone and help people out don't get very far... they act as just a stepping stone for those who want to see the end game. Guilds who want to be on top will do everything possible, they will sacrifice, poopsock, resort to 24/7 call lists, etc. Personally, MMO's and gaming in general plays more on our psychological needs. The reward system gives us that dopamine squirt we're looking for. No one gives a fuck about anything or anyone else unless it provides them with something. If you're guild booted you out specifically for this only instance, than it would be a perfect example of this. | ||
