Andis was wrongly punished to begin with, and when we told him to shut it and wait for us to respond, he did. Apples to oranges.

I've told you guys I don't normally enforce any of these forum rules, because I'm against stifling free speech, but if it gets excessive I will absolutely exercise my right to do so.

I have nothing against Tune or Nihilum. Between Tune and Nizzar, multiple game breaking exploits have been reported in the private petition forum and fixed as a result. I've never had a bad interaction with Tune (and I've interacted with him both before and after joining staff), and I don't think he's a bad guy. I think he made a bad call, and then made another series of bad calls after that, which led to this. Hopefully in the future everyone can refrain from prematurely forumjaculating all over the staff when they get caught breaking a rule.
Tune clearly didn't watch the Holo video, a lot of good advice in there.

U can't blame a person for freaking out when u perma ban their main character and resolve petitions with try later trolllol - if we feel like it!! 8)

Both sides could have used better petitioning etiquette.

I can understand their being rules for LnS, but perma banning for it, is just abuse of power. If you really must ban, ban for a day. Banning people for pvping/griefing is not classic, nor is it going to help your server. I remember controlling zones with my guild and not letting people get their corpses, and never had any sort of GM banning people for it...

Too many post/threads, point is that gm's shouldn't ban for more than 48 hours if its not exploiting the game mechanics or RMTing. The less GM intervention the better, in my opinion.

GMs also said on their stream that if they ban someone, they are "fucking banned." Or something to that effect. Tune could have very well thought he was permanently banned, which prompted the Tune forum meltdown. Why are you punishing Tune in game for actions on the forum? People go completely ape shit on the forums and it does not affect them in game, including racial slurs, rl attacks, etc. The scum on the server frequent this forum more than they do in game. Tune is being banned for tab targeting a newly ressurected player mid battle, and then you have pieces of shit like Slathar and Mornin who would offer to bind newbies in unrest only to port them far away. We all know who the scum on the server are, and Tune is not one of them.

Furthermore, the whole "try again later" when it comes to petitioning is fucking retarded and only promotes constant badgering / bumping of threads to get the GMs to review the situation again.

Based on this, it sounds like you know he is not a toxic player. He loves the game and has already been suspended for multiple weeks now (which I am sure feels even longer to him). Don't you think he has done enough time? Are multiple forum posts a reason to keep someone banned?

Come on man.
