because I feel it cuts down on shenanigans.
.
So it sounds like you agree:
#1) They are acting like dicks
#2) They are creating shenanigans

Doljon is currently forcing THEIR playstyle on other guilds. I don't know why it's a complicated concept to recognize. Their playstyle involves leap frogging, contesting, competing, FTE'ing... sound familiar?

Rogaen, yourself, and other GMs banned EVERYONE from raiding because a 'minority' was forcing their playstyle on the 'majority'... and we needed GM enforced raid rules to resolve that issue.

This is really no different.

This isn't about Doljon necessarily --- this is about any other group of 'dicks who just want to create shenanagins' that want to show up down the line.

We kicked everyone off raiding because no one could agree on anything when we forced people to make an arrangement for the raid scene.

We forced people to make an arrangement for the raid scene because we wanted everyone to have a chance to experience content.

It never had anything to do with forcing play styles.

We don't, and never will enforce a sky rotation. Any agreement made in regards to sky is player made, and should be player enforced (yes, i am saying you should band together and block doljon from doing sky if you want them to fall in line). I sincerely wish Doljon would just find a slot on the rotation, and told them as much months ago, because I feel it cuts down on shenanigans. That being said, it's their choice if they don't want to do so.
I agree that it's their choice if they want to join the rotation or not, but you're now telling me you're agreeing with us that they never actually tried to join the rotation? Wasn't the first 30 pages of this thread because you didn't think we attempted to give them a fair shake?

Again the only reason I'm here is because of the GM intervention and what's being put forth as truth.

Again, if Doljon wants a spot I'm more than happy to work with them, but none of them have even attempted to contact me, or anyone that I know in any form other than to say they don't want in on the rotation.

This was from my very first post in this thread:

I have no idea if Doljon actually contacted someone or not. All I have is secondhand info from Hyjal saying he did. It sounds plausible to me that when they were first getting together as a guild back in ~November that someone told them no you aren't ready, so they said fuck it and decided to do what they wanted instead. It didn't sound like they were to keen about being on the rotation anyway. After my conversation with Hyjal I didn't pursue the issue further.

Even if they didn't ask, this doesn't change my stance that telling Doljon to play your way or GTFO of Class R is hypocritical and wrong, which is what my responses in this thread have been about.

So we're jerks for asking them to join the rotation, but you think we should band together and force them into the way we want to play while they have a perfectly viable option to play they want in the competitive class?

I don't....I'm sorry Deru I straight up don't understand your logic. I'm not at all attempting to be inflammatory but I just...I don't understand what you're trying to say.

1) Don't base your entire argument during the raid talks on not forcing play styles, and then try to force your play style on Doljon by telling them to GTFO. What you seem to be misunderstanding is that I personally do not care about this whole 'forcing of play styles' thing. I don't think any of the staff does. We just want everyone to have a shot at content. But you guys as a whole do, and made a very big deal about it very recently, so to hear certain people screaming for this to happen is hypocrisy at it's finest.

2) Players should enforce player rotations. This means impose your own sanctions on guilds who don't fall in line. Doljon trying to snipe a CT that was supposed to go to Taken? Port BDA up and zerg that shit in 3 seconds. Going for an Indignation Maestro? Bring up AG and knock him out before they can even mobilize. Make them play your game, or not get content. EQ capitalism at it's best.
