I don't hate Pantheon or want it to fail. I honestly don't give a crap about it. What I care about is the same GMs that have so adamantly searched for and destroyed any RMT operations are now the ones championing it.

I think the key word here is "dev". Every MMO I know of that has any type of tradeable items or currency ingame has to deal with RMT. That is just a byproduct of having different countries with individual currencies, exchange rates, blah blah not the point.

My point is: selling things for real money is fine when you're the one running the world where these things you're selling exist!

it's no different from Blizzard selling a flying pony or whatever for real money, but still fighting against RMT which causes Chinese gold farming sweatshops and stuff.

Except if the server never offered anything like this and had always tried to adhere to a "clasic experiance".

The guise, the staff and the xp pot are fine enough. The early access is really the only thing that is worrying to me. They supposedly have it handled even though no details have been released.

Brad was saying the same stuff about Vanguard. Can we all please stop acting like this is the second coming? I am keeping my eye on it and hope it does well (the same as I am doing with EQNext) but I have been burned too many times to believe hype.

Vanguard could have be good, if it would have not be released 1.5 years to early, TOTALY bug ridden.
