Default 40 druid groups or solo?

So, I've arrived at 40 and am thinking of where to go next.

What say you treehuggers?

Solo, Druids aren't really a great grouping class, however they shine in a duo/trio

Solo. Don't have to deal with other peoples time/schedule/lag/problems. Better EXP too.

If you are lazy and want to quad, I'm sure Dreadlands is decent at that level.
If you are semi-lazy and want to charm kill, Overthere has some animals at that level.
If you are a boss and want to charm kill, Kedge Keep is the best EXP you will find at that level once you figure it out.

EDIT: Future note, use the Priests Subsection for future druid related questions.

Solo! It's much faster than grouping in my opinion... I leveled from my early 20's to about 36 with charm kiting and then decided to try quadding. It's the fastest exp I've ever gotten! And very easy when you get the hang of it. Plus you get downtime to do other things... I'm 41 now and have still been quadding in OT. Hug those trees! =D

Grouping when you can, soloing when you can't or only have a short amount of playtime.

The Overthere has a nice exp bonus. At level 40 you can quad cactus/cockatrices along the wall from Skyfire Ramp to the shore. Also, you can make bank from ports.

Right outside the SF ramp (to the left), there is a nice flat-ish spot at the very top of the wall. I bound myself there. Level 60's are constantly flowing into OT when they use their Sledgehammer, and are usually in a hurry for a port - with the majority bribing 50-100pp for a ride out. I had them meet me at SF ramp. I saved up for my GEB's off of OT port money alone.

At 45-50, I recommend borrowing a Luminescent staff from a friend, or purchasing one with your OT port money (5-6k?) - and heading to quad Bloodgill Goblins in LOIO. They are like exp pinatas - it was the fastest exp I've ever experienced. At level 49 I was pulling all 12 onto the shore. Be warned though, after doing Bloodgills everywhere else you for experience will seem painfully slow.

Good luck!

Easy to get a group in CoM in the 40s if you wanted it.

Thanks for the replies all. I wanted a change of pace from the OT soloing bit so I tried out CoM.

Between the trains and the flakey folk I'm back to soloing and loving it again [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Yeah finding a good group in CoM can be tricky, the main annoyance for a lot of people is the pullers running to other areas for mobs (stealing from the arena is quite popular etc, and arena sometimes steal from moat to compensate).

I leveled my rogue from 40-51 there, but I had to [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
