Default Help w/ Game Setup

Anyone willing to provide me with off-line support to setting up the game? I followed the instructions and ended up with a ton of Malware and no proper setup. Total fail on my part and I'm not even computer illiterate. I swear I need training wheels for my training wheels.

Thanks. PM would be appreciated. Looking forward to playing again.

I could use some help as well, the malware is kicking my butt. I've followed the directions on this site and even had project 99 up and running in the past on my old PC. I can't seem to find a safe and reliable source this time though. Please send me a pm with some help if you can.

I went to PB as suggested, and it told me I needed to download VLC Player, which I did. Ended up with about 7 additional programs which I was able to easily uninstall in Control Panel but even after reloading my browser, it is still telling me to install VLC Player so not sure what to do at this point. Any help would be lovely, I want to get back to playing after my uh *counts fingers* 8 year break? lol...

To install the game you will not need to use VLC media player at any step. If you're trying to use the ISO files to install the game you'll need some virtual drive software. Here's my small tutorial on that; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD3DSc-aglE

As far as getting the ISO's, make sure you're clicking on the magnet link for them rather than any of the ads that usually pop up on that website. That's as far as I can really help. Be very careful downloading any copies of anything from torrent websites as they often include a crap ton of ads that pop up. If you do have Malware now on your machine I recommend you download and run Malware Bytes. Once again, make sure you get it from a legit website as there are plenty of websites that say they have Malware Bytes but instead just want to give you more Malware.

I think it was the magnet that made the difference for me. Got everything working now.

I even had someone download it for me onto a flash drive since I couldn't figure out how to do it and I transferred it onto my laptop and now I can't even run the EXE. Why is it telling me that Daemon Tools is incompatible with Win7 Pro? What gives? This should NOT be this much trouble. all these obstacles is making me feel really stupid. It doesn't help that I don't have the slightest idea of how torrents work, have never used them before. I am seriously about to trash the entire idea of installing this thing because I can't get it to work.

You guys are downloading the wrong one. The the one from 2007 is the one you want. The one of the other ones has the virus or whatever.

I finally got it figured out, I am now on Step 4 in the installation process. Quick question: for the folders of the same name, should I merge the contents of the new folder with the existing one or overwrite them? Thanks!

OK I think I have it now, I do have another question though, I am currently on Step 4 of the Installation instructions... for the file folders with the same names, should I merge them with the pre-existing folders, overwrite pre-existing folders, or skip them? Thanks!
