Yes, I was talking about the skills leveling up. No I was not talking about you needing skills to play the game, yes those help but in the end a monkey can do hand eye coordination.
Rocketing from 4-15 by turn ins will gimp you very badly for some time getting those skills leveled back up.

I'm actually pleased to know that's what you were saying.

It's really not that hard. I used bone chips/CB belts/pads to get characters to 8-10 a couple times prior to them even fixing skill up %, and had my skills maxed very quickly. I max all my weapon skills - piercing, 2hb, 2hs, 1hs, 1hb prior to leveling my ranger every single level.

Defense is a bit trickier, but it still catches up pretty quickly. I promise this isn't an issue for a PLed character for long.

I'm too lazy to pull up the thread, but they have substantive comments that corroborate it pretty well. I'm totally satisfied with the nerf based on the evidence.
