I can't imagine the other person coming to the camp and not also going afk between 16 minute spawns so it's hilarious to me that he would pull that card in the first place~

Nilbog: Perhaps it should be changed to AFK xping instead of AFK camping to clear up any confusion*?

*And not allow anyone to nitpick rules to tailor to their personal needs

These are one of those douchebags I mentioned....just basing this on the tone of the post and complete lack of consideration for any point except his.
Remember that holier-than-thou part?

But seriously, I was being honest with you, not trying to hurt your feelings. What I posted is the impression I get as to how many people feel when someone start spouting the "new baby new wife new job new house new garden new car new flaming cat" crap. It's not 1999, no one buys that anymore, and those that do will tell you that you might have your priorities out of order.

Anyway, every time I see one of these "he was mean to me" threads, I want to know the other side of the story. If you were nice and the guy started harassing you, yeah, he's a dick and that's inappropriate. But it's rarely that black and white. Typically there's a bunch of venom being spit on both sides.

Theres the new family in a new place....yes thats a blow up matress in the living room because we have not got the furniture delivered yet. Its 10:30 here so we all look kinda rough.
Just because you heard a story a million times doesn't mean it is false.

I think his point is that it is very tired that we as a gaming community should feel bad for each individual person and their individual situation.

I have a wife, 4 kids (one who is 6 months old), hectic job, bills, etc...but I will not use that as an argument as to why I should be able to keep a camp.

Does it suck that you don't get that playtime anymore? Yes
Are we the ones that set up that situation for you? No
Should we feel bad or should you be entitled to something because of your situation? No

I had my question answered ... please refer back to Nilbogs post. Looks like I can go afk and still hold a mob. Thank you for your concern but all in folly

Actually you probably should feel at least a little bad. Empathy is a pretty natural thing for most human beings, however I did read an article yesterday stating that since the turn of the century people have been feeling a lot less empathetic towards their fellow man.

Sitting the point that "we as a gaming community" are all apparently assholes aside, I don't think anyone has to feel bad for him (that would be quite the rule to enforce) but the camp and rules should be respected. Thankfully Nilbog was kind enough to clear that up for us.

AFK camping ... means letting your pet kill something, over and over, while you are afk. This is frowned upon.

AFKing between spawns on a 16 minute camp? Not afk camping..
That answers that.

QFT

hate it when people tell me im afk camping when i just go afk between the PH-spawns...whats the problem with that? Why should i sit there and stare at nothing for whatever time, when i exactly know when the next mob pops?

As long as you keep your camp clear, its yours.
