So I've been at it in Thurgadin for about 2 hours doing Small Bowl Combines, according to my logs I've done 729 combines as of 08:41 8/3/2015 and my skill has only increased to 60.
I feel as if the skillup rate for pottery is incorrect. At least to my memory, pottery was one of those tradeskills that leveled up VERY fast compared to other tradeskills and I feel that the current skillup rate is not classic. EVIDENCE Quote:

Are you doing combines on a toon with very low wis/int?

I buffed my wis/int up by having an enchanter buff me. It isn't just me though, I know of several int casters who were trying to level their pottery and having really terrible luck on skill ups.

I can second this bug. I am a magician with 215+ int, even more while buffed. I did 20 combines and didn't get a single skill up. something definitely seems off...
P.S - my pottery is at skill 1 | ||

took me less than 2 hours on Cleric and enchanter wis 200 + wis or int.
took about 5 hours on stupid fat ogre warrior with neither. seems ok to me

The point I'm trying to make is that it should fly up regardless. Current skill up rate isn't classic.

Maybe RNG hates you?

Possibly, but I think it's more likely the formula for skillup is out-of-whack, given I am not the only one to observe its slow advancement.
