What items can you not live without on your characters?

Is it a weapon, a shield, haste, potions, a clicky item?

It can be specific to just one character or all you characters. I'm curious too see what item or items you can't do with out.

Pegasus Cloak for levitation. I camped it out of sheer boredom one night at like 4am by myself and got it to drop. It's my most prized item and I am pretty much always lev now.

I require nothing.

I will go find the nearest orc pawn, goblin, or decaying skeleton, then punch him to death until he dies. Then I will take his rusty weapon as my own, and proceed to slay more of his brethren, then sell the rusties and other junk that I don't need, to buy food, water, and eventually backpacks. I will then hunt bears and slay them for pelts and chunks of meat, then make myself some patchwork armor, then convert my rusted weapon(s) into tarnished.
