I hope Trump wins, so that he can revoke Deferred Action. That way I can go back to not having a social security number, an awesome job, and no longer pay taxes.

Incidentally, I have a friend who is a republican consultant previously with a congressman and a senator and was with a governor last I spoke with him. I'm sure he's great at what he does but he can't pick a presidential election to save his life. I wonder if it's all of them? Would certainly explain a lot. Haven't seen a candidate on either side that looks like a winner, yet. But it's early.

I think you'd be surprised at Gore's ability to get Dems to the polls, if he won the nomination. So unless the Republicans figure out that Rubio's the guy, I think he'd win the general pretty handily. | |||

The biggest advantage any democrat has is that they get to run against a republican. The republican party seems hell bent on picking the worst possible candidate for the current issues at hand going back to the first Bush. And then not campaigning to win. Actually, next time I talk to my buddy I'm going to ask what's up with that. I could get behind Rubio but I highly doubt he will get the nomination. He would make a good president and appeal to the Hispanic vote, but that would make too much sense for these idiots running the party. Why do something like that when another Bush giving speeches in Spanish will do? They just love their establishment people way too much. Not my preference, at all, but I'd bet money it winds up being Bush.

There are a finite number of jobs. Increasingly, more jobs are being automated. You know which groups have been disproportionately affected by free trade and immigration? Urban blacks and rural whites, the two poorest groups of people in this country. So tired of every debate automatically being shut down by someone shouting "dats rayciss." I'm brown and an immigrant, so I don't support trump, but facts are facts. There is a very rational argument to be made that free trade and immigration have diminished the economic potential of a huge number of Americans. PS: for all the rambling about the bigotry of republicans, id like for you to recall who signed NAFTA - a democrat by the name of William Clinton. And Barack Obama is working his ass off to get TPP through, after signing a budget in fiscal year 2014 that was written by lobbyists for Citigroup. I'm voting Donald trump or Bernie sanders. I don't agree with either of their policies. It's more a protest vote against two parties that are more concerned about lining the pockets of their financial supporters than making America a better place for ALL of its citizens.
