Default New Necro Looking for Group

I am a level 10 DE Necro struggling to do anything.

I am looking for any groups, or some advice on where to go to solo. Right now I'm just staying in EC killing blue scarabs, spiders and snakes. I tried befallen, but it was all greens where I was comfortable going to. I tried WC but it was either greens or reds. I tried NRO and Oasis but again, either greens or reds.

If anyone has any low level gear they are just going to ditch I would greatly appreciate it. I'm barely able to kill these things in EC as it is and the XP is super slow and just when I get 2 blues to catch up to my last death, I die again.

Any advice on a better xp spot, a place to find groups, or any gear to help me not die as much would be greatly appreciated.

My char in game is "Eviler"

Thanks.

The easiest route for now would probably be to get in an Orc1 group in EC til 12, then head to Oasis for caimans and crocs til 21ish

Get out of EC, go towards north karana and turn in light stones/greater lightstones to get past level 10. You could also try going into erud's crossing for the true wisp hoarder experience. That or get an orc group, which I never could. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Erud's crossing is the gravy train though friend. Just be terrified of mad men and realize that the shitty cats won't help you.

If you want to get tons and tons of bone chips + a big journey adventure, try to reach kurns tower. Really easy zone (mobs are NOT social there) and almost everything is a skelly, dropping bone chips. This zone will take you to about level 20.

My necro is now level 33 and i still have a lot of bone chips banked from that time, never needed to farm or buy any.

You might want to wait until level 12 before venturing to Kurns for several reasons.

You get a nice new set of DoTs at 12. Bind Affinity is also nice to have if you are not an Iksar. Bind just outside the tower. It makes for shorter CR's if things go sideways and it's also a quick return if you need to gate out of a sticky situation. If you need to go home for more spells or training, you can probably find a port in FoB, then you can simply gate back to the tower. Dial-a-Port usually has someone nearby. /w all dial is your friend.

By level 12 you will have a wider range of killable mobs to choose from. You are rather limited in choices at 10.

If you intend to stay for a while, bring at least your level 16 spells with you. Level 20 if you can afford them.

Also, besides bone chips, the skellies drop a lot of coin so you will either have to go home to bank, or being a DE you can bank at The Overthere if you want to make that run while weighted down with coin, or find a friendly Iksar who will trade his gold/plat for your copper and silver, or if you can really TRUST him, to go to the bank in Cabilis and change your coin for you. OR you can just destroy all your copper every once in a while.

DE Necromancer can turn in lightstones at DE camp in South Ro, same experience, same book to sell / use for research, different faction (Dark Bargainers and DE guards, iirc)

Does being an Iksar matter THAT much? Rerolling isn't really an option right now. I'd have no $$ for spells and it took me *forever* to get this guy to 12!

How much will that extra regen matter in the long run or end game?

I'm a 38 Human Necro and I regret not rerolling. It matters more 50+ and I'm suffering now.

Get someone to pass over the money and gear, you don't have to delete the DE Necro.
