A bit of advice:

Before dropping the items, camp the toon you are xferring to at the spot you are dropping first. And be willing to make a bit of a run to somewhere obscure.

I feel for you, but dropping items in the maze which is Kelethin without even knowing how to navigate back to them is a very, very silly mistake. More "user error" than anything else.

On a somewhat related note, though, I would kill for a shared bank. Trying to xfer stuff to my NFP mule as an Ogre Warrior is an unnecessarily large hassle...

EDIT: Just saw that someone above me basically said the exact same things. Sorry for repeating, but definitely deserves some emphasis. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

That sucks man. I had someone snatch some rubicite armor I was drop transferring on live before there was a shared bank. Never got it back lol. I've done a lof of drop transfers on p99 (in the EC tunnel a few times even) and not had any issues. It sounds like it was probably item rot instead of a thief if there was still a bag there when you got to it. I don't know exactly how long dropped items hang around on the ground, but it's not very long.

I know a lot of folks are taking this as a chance to poke fun at you, but they are correct in that it is not classic.

Part of what killed EQ for me was how the game made people less and less dependent on one another. I had to put trust in people to do the right thing. People had a chance to exhibit integrity and you could discern who were good or bad folks.

Having to work together is a very important part of the game. I'm sorry this happened to you. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
