If I can convince a few friends and my wife to try this I'll probably give it a go. I reallllly like the idea of playing a Guise Ranger in Luclin-PoP era just to experience the raid content and to have AA's AM3/EQ and be a bow wielding badass. Although I know I'll quit playing around the time mercs come out and other dumb shit so it almost feels like it's a wasteful time investment when you know the end outcome but I'm living for the moment I suppose.

That's all I was saying. I do like this format better though because it does not destroy the shared space in the game, which is one of the things I hate most about instanced zones (like being in Gfaydark09 instead of Gfaydark02, etc.). It sounds more like things like the UDB spawning trak than (what i consider) a true instance. The lynch pin in the system is how it prevents folks from exploiting it. They devs have said that they think it is a fairly sound system. The same with "true boxing" (You can box, but only a different machine). We'll see how good their new mechanics are. If they work, it does seem like this will be fun. It obviously comes down to personal taste.

None of us are playing here (or anywhere else) because it is a good investment for our retirements. Well, maybe Platlord does. We have fun for a few years and move on.
