The Beatles are overrated but they were good musicians for a while. I prefer their older pop music from the days when they wore suits. I really dislike nonsense like "Revolution 9" and all that hare krishna - inspired crap they got into later.

Even musically they've always been basic bitches. simple riffs, chord progressions, the only one that was ever worth a fuck with lyrics was lennon but it was always the same thing worded differently like rap.

The beatles were just another pop band. The only thing that distinguishes them from any others is that they were the first to get that big, and they got that big because of controvery, which spawned coverage. It was never about their ability as musicians.

KISS were basic bitches too but they were still rock gods. Simple works great sometimes.

Led Zeppelin were pretty simple too and I fucking love that band. Favorite of all time.
