I mean, I don't expect many people to agree with me, but that's just how I see it.

Guild run raids != PUGs. I guess I come from a different environment (server) where people actually NBG'd on pug raids and pug groups.

But, why do I get the feeling that maybe you would feel upset IF you were the only melee and you got screwed over a CoF going to a caster?

IMO, if you claim an item NBG, you should pay everyone else in the group for their roll. For example, if it's GEBs, they're worth 6k. Assuming a full group, everyone's roll is worth 1k. You claim NBG, pay 1k to every group member, and keep the boots. Fine, everyone's happy (enough).

If you don't want to buy out everyone else's roll, that's fine, too. But then you can roll greed on it like everyone else. It's crap that a class that can't use any loot from a specific camp is essentially donating their time to the classes that have class-specific loot drop at that camp.

If it's a 500 plat shitty item and happens to be an upgrade, fine -- just take it. But if it's something worth multiple thousands of plat, everyone needs it.

Well, I mean, it IS your view. I'm just going to disagree with it. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I'm not going to insult anyone or something.

A lotta truth there. Vz/Tz folks were pretty cool about giving stuff to their lessers. I think it's because killing folks who can put up a bit of a fight is more fun than riskless slaughter although they'll mock you either way! :P

If I get to roll on shit I could sell but can't use, I would have no problem getting "screwed" out of a CoF, fair is fair.

Obviously I would be disappointed at not winning it, but that's not to say I think something so valuable that can totally open up a lot of possibilities to people should just go to me because I happen to be the only melee present out of a dozen or two people. If you're running with a guild and the same people all the time, then my sentiment changes a bit. I'll scratch your back today, you scratch mine tomorrow.

I scratch your back today, you disappear to never be seen again doesn't sound as appealing (which isn't to say I have a problem with the traditional NBG concept, just think it's somewhat ironic that "I can use it you can't so I get it automatically!" isn't considered greedy, even though anyone else can sell it and gear themselves up)

I also prefer the "greed" system since it gets rid of the possibility of people going "Uhh, yeah, I need it, hand it over!" then selling it in EC a few days later.

You must be talking to me?

Let's just say that label you try to pin on me isn't exactly fitting, to say the least, lol
