Default changing the position where the screen pops up

most of the time i play with a dual monitor set up. however, sometimes i bring my laptop around to play with friends / @ the GF's place. when i go to launch the game without a second monitor hooked up, it will pop up off the screen and I am unable to drag it over to my laptop screen.

I was able to play in full screen mode to fix it, but now the game is crashing when I try to log in while full screen is enabled.

any ideas would be appreciated.

Make sure the EQ window is highlighted by clicking on the window in the taskbar and then use Shift + Windows key + left or right arrow to move the window between monitors.

In reference to fixing the EverQuest client with this, google WinEQ2. Run EverQuest through this program. You shouldn't have any issues when pressing ALT+ENTER to take it to full screen then.
