Drachnid Silk Swatch
Not sure which forum this goes in since it's a tradeskill thing. The Drachnid Silk dropped from Drachnids can be tailored into Drachnid Silk Swatches. The swatches are used for Iksar Cultural Armor. This doesn't show up for quite a few expansions. I can't find specific patch notes on this but as I recall the silk should drop but the ability to turn it into swatches shouldn't be in game.

It seems it's the other way around.. we should only be seeing Drachling..
this is in the patch message from February 4th 2003: "Renamed one of two items called Drachling Silk. The Drachling Silk that was once no drop is now tradable and named Drachnid Silk. " So apparently prior to this there were 2 drachling silks. One drop and one that is No Drop. Both the NODROP version and drop version could be foraged in Firiona Vie and Dreadlands. Later the NODROP version gets named Drachnid Silk instead of Drachling Silk and becomes tradeable. Here's an added comment made by the EQ traders people in 2003: "these are two Kunark forages that have been annoying due to having the same name. They're currently still only vendor-fodder, but at least they have unique names!" So they still had no tradeskill use as of February 2003. | ||
