How many names are you 'sitting on' ?

Tried to make myself a new character earlier. So many names rejected, including some alternate spellings of the same name to the point where you'd be double-voweling 2-3 times to get it through [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

So I wondered, do any of you have a stack of names you're sitting on til you 'get around' to using them? If so, how many and how good are they? ^^

just one, i took Jinada because Gondar was taken, but i eventually plan to play that character someday, hopefully, but its gonna rot on a level 1 rogue for awhile

I have two names named after famous characters in everquest. They are probably not allowed in the long term. Im not sure what to do with them so all I use them for is an occasional transfer or item hold ;p

Better question: How many names were being used/sat on, but are now on banned accounts?

Any way we could get the names back for level 1's on banned accounts, after X amount of time?

I've also had trouble finding a name that is unique, even when coming up with my own name.

I wonder what percentage of accounts have been active within the last year? How big is the p99 population that is retired?

On live, I though unused level 1 characters were somewhat regularly purged. I realize this may not be a simple task though.

Yeah I've got one character that probably wouldn't survive long in EC without having a forced name change. Some of the best NPCs need to be recognized though.
